Culture Night at the Riksdag 2024

The Riksdag will participate in Stockholm Culture Night on Saturday 20 April between 18 and 24. Take the opportunity to experience the parliament buildings from the inside. You can learn more about the work of the Riksdag by taking part in a guided tour, visiting the public gallery of the Chamber and our democracy hub, and attending various seminars and activities in the Riksdag Library.

Experience the Chamber

Visit the Public Gallery of the Chamber! Every ten minutes, a video will be shown in which the Speaker talks about the work of the Chamber and the Riksdag.

Guided tour and democracy hub

Every ten minutes, a guided tour lasting approximately 30 minutes will start from the East Wing of the Riksdag, ending with a visit to our democracy hub. A maximum of 30 people per tour group is permitted.

Every third tour will be in English.

21–21.30: The Chamber behind the scenes

Clerk of the Chamber Lena Lindbäck talks about the work of the officials in and around the Chamber.

22–22.45: Ask whatever you like about cultural policy!

Put questions to the members of the Committee on Cultural Affairs. The Moderator is Ingvar Mattson, Secretary-General of the Riksdag.

23–23.30: Instruments of Government from Oxenstierna to Palme

Ongoing activities between 18 and 24

Getting to the Riksdag

The Riksdag is located on the island of Helgeandsholmen in the centre of Stockholm. The entrance to the West Wing of the Riksdag is at Riksgatan 3 and the entrance to the East Wing is from Riksplan. The Riksdag Library is situated at Storkyrkobrinken 7A in Gamla stan.
