Contact information

Our everyday lives are affected by EU rules. At home, these rules can apply to such things as our work environment, products in the grocery store or care of animals, land or lakes. When we travel, study, work or shop online within the EU we are also affected by EU rules. Here you will find contact information for public agencies, organisations and EU institutions which are responsible for and can answer questions about the EU.

  • applying for EU funding
  • running a business in the EU

Public agencies are experts on the EU

You can turn to Swedish agencies, organisations and the EU institutions to receive answers to your questions about the EU. Here you will find contact information for public agencies and organisations that are responsible for EU matters.

Swedish agencies are obliged to answer your question

Swedish public agencies and organisations are obliged to observe current legislation, including laws that the EU member states have adopted together in the EU. In fact, much of the public agencies’ work is based on laws adopted at the EU level.

The agencies are obliged to provide information about the rules that apply within the areas they are responsible for. On their websites, you will find answers to many of the most frequently asked questions. If you are unable to find the answer there, you can always call or email the agency for help.

Further information from the EU institutions

The EU institutions have a great deal of information about applicable EU rules and how they have been decided. The European Commission and the European Parliament have offices in all EU member states to which you can turn for information.
