Guided tours of the Riksdag
Guided tours of the Riksdag are open to everyone. You can also attend a guided tour of the works of art in the Riksdag.
Open tours
The Riksdag offers open tours of the Riksdag buildings for the public. You can choose to participate in a general tour or an art tour. More information about what applies to different types of tour is available under the headings below. Practical information about your visit is available under the heading Plan your visit.
This applies to open tours:
- The tour is free of charge.
- There is a total of 28 places on each tour.
- It is not possible to book a place on the tour in advance.
- Entry via the Visitors´ Entrance, Riksgatan 3.
- Please arrive in good time for a security check.
- The entrance will close five minutes before the start of the tour.
Here you can learn about the tasks and work of the Riksdag. During the tour we will visit various rooms that are important in the work of the Riksdag.
- Between September and June, when the work of the Riksdag is in progress, tours will take place at weekends.
- During the summer, open tours are available on weekdays only.
- The tours are offered in Swedish and in English.
- The tour takes approximately 55 minutes.

- Please consult the parliamentary calendar for the dates and times of open guided tours. Tour times may be subject to change. Guided tours in the calendar (in Swedish)
- Groups of more than 10 participants are referred to bookable guided tours on weekdays. See bookable tours.
- There are no guided tours during the Christmas and New Year period.
- You can prepare for the visit by reading about security, rules and accessibility.
Bookable tours
Groups and school classes from year 7 can book their own tours of the Riksdag.
- These tours are offered during the day from Monday to Friday.
- The group should consist of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 35 people.
- These tours must be booked in advance.
- The tour is free of charge.
- The tour takes approximately 55 minutes.
- At least one person must be responsible for the group and participate throughout the guided tour.
- Guided tours can be booked in Swedish or in English.
- You can choose between three types of tour.
General guided tour
The guide will tell you about the Riksdag's primary tasks, how the members of the Riksdag work and about the history of the Riksdag. During the tour we will visit various rooms that are important in the work of the Riksdag.
Plan and book your group visit
- Bookable tours are offered during the day on ordinary weekdays.
- Tours can be booked while the work of the Riksdag is in progress between September and June.
- It is not possible to book guided tours during the summer or the Christmas and New Year period.
- To book a group visit, you need to create an account. Once you have created an account, you can log in and manage your booking.

Book your visit
If you cannot see any available times, we are fully booked. In the event of cancellations, these times will automatically become available again.

Processing of personal data
By booking, you automatically give your consent to your personal data being collected for the purpose of managing bookings. The Riksdag Administration saves the data for two years. After this, they will be deleted.
