Exhibition at Mynttorget about democracy
The exhibition on the advent of democracy is on display in the Old Town of Stockholm
Sixteen windows at Mynttorget and along Västerlånggatan depict various scenes from Sweden’s democratisation process. Here we are introduced to some of those who struggled for democracy through popular movements and national organisations, the fear of revolution that existed among politicians and the people who fought for bread and improved rights in working life. Current issues related to democracy today are also highlighted.
The exhibition can be viewed from outdoors, and is open around the clock.
