Roll-call, election of Speakers and opening of the Riksdag session
Election 2026This week, the new Riksdag will meet and will start the parliamentary working year. On Monday 28 September there will be a roll-call for the members of the Riksdag. This will be followed by the election of the Speakers and presentation of the party group leaders. The same day also marks the start of the general private members’ motions period.
