The Speaker Andreas Norlén has held talks with the party representatives by phone about how to proceed with the formation of a new government. The Speaker will continue his informal talks and will follow these up with information about the next step in the process on Monday 19 October.
“I plan to reflect on the information I've received from the party leaders and to hold continued talks. I also assume that the party leaders will use this time well for their continued discussions. The parties should be able to engage in dialogue with each other without anyone having been given the specific task of exploring the possibilities of forming a government”, says the Speaker Andreas Norlén.
Press meeting
In connection with the next step in the process of forming a new government, the Speaker Andreas Norlén will meet the media at the Riksdag Press Centre.
