Rules regarding the Riksdag Administration's and the Speaker's social media accounts
The following rules apply to the Riksdag Administration's and the Speaker's social media accounts.
The Riksdag Administration is responsible for its social media channels. The purpose of the Riksdag Administration's social media communication is to increase knowledge about the Riksdag and its work. The channels are used according to how appropriate they are in terms of communications strategy. The media landscape changes rapidly and the Riksdag Administration always needs to evaluate and prioritise when choosing media channel.
The Speaker is also responsible for his social media channels. The purpose of the Speaker's communication on social media is to offer more ways of following Andreas Norlén in his assignment as Speaker of the Riksdag. The channels are used according to how appropriate they are in terms of communications strategy.
The Riksdag Administration is not responsible for use by individual members of the Riksdag of social media channels.
Information that is published on the Riksdag Administration's and the Speaker's social media accounts is visible to other users. Posts and comments, as well as private or direct messages, are normally regarded as official documents.
Information that is published on the Riksdag Administration's and Speaker's accounts, both by us and by other users, is kept for a certain period. After this, the information may either be removed or archived.
On some of the Riksdag Administration's or Speaker's accounts, it is possible to leave comments, and users are urged to maintain a courteous and respectful tone. Posts and comments that breach the rules below may be deleted from the Riksdag Administration's and Speaker's accounts. Users who breach the rules below may also be blocked. This applies to contributions or comments that:
- involve unlawful threats or infringements of personal privacy;
- involve infringements of someone else's copyright or similar rights;
- involve incitement to rebellion, agitation against a population group, child pornography offences or unlawful portrayal of violence;
- involve a breach of the Act on Criminal Responsibility for Public Provocation, Recruitment and Training concerning Terrorist Offences and other Particularly Serious Crimes;
- otherwise involve a breach of Swedish law;
- contain offensive information or concern a specific person;
- do not keep to relevant subjects;
- contain marketing or spam; or
- do not maintain a courteous and respectful tone, for example, that include disparaging comments or comments containing offensive language.
Posts connected with items of business in the Riksdag Administration may be removed from the social media channel and dealt with in another way within the Administration. The same applies to information that is covered by secrecy regulations. Communication with the Riksdag Administration as an authority is referred to the Riksdag Administration's registrar.
