  • The Riksdag to meet in August

    The Speaker Andreas Norlén has consulted the party group leaders on the handling of government bills that have been introduced late. The Speaker has taken into consideration the various points of view expressed in the discussions and has decided to schedule plenary meetings on 12 and 13 August.

    The Speaker Andreas Norlén visited Lisbon on 28-29 January together with four members of the Riksdag at the invitation of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal, José Pedro Aguiar Branco.

The Speaker Andreas Norlén is the foremost representative of the Riksdag. He is often seen leading debates and the work of the Chamber, but the Speaker has many other roles and duties. Come and take a look behind the scenes in the Chamber, and listen to the Speaker talking about his three main tasks as Speaker: leading the work of the Riksdag, leading the Riksdag Board and representing the Riksdag.
