The Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén has today received Magdalena Andersson’s report in connection with her task of exploring the possibilities of forming a government. The Speaker then presented Magdalena Andersson as a proposal for prime minister to the Riksdag.
The Speaker has today, on 13 October, received a report from the leader of the Social Democratic Party Magdalena Andersson on her task of exploring the possibilities for forming a government that can be tolerated by the Riksdag.
“At my meeting with Magdalena Andersson, she announced that she does not currently see it as meaningful to continue with her task. I then presented Magdalena Andersson to the Riksdag as my proposal for prime minister in a Social Democratic one-party government”, says the Speaker Andreas Norlén.
The proposal for prime minister was presented and tabled in the Chamber for the first time on Tuesday 13 October, followed by a second tabling on Wednesday 14 October. The proposal will then be put to the vote in the Riksdag on 15 October at 12.00.
