On 19 January, the Speaker Andreas Norlén received Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in connection with an official visit to Sweden.

The Speaker Andreas Norlén received the Prime Minister and his delegation for a meeting at the Riksdag, which was also attended by members of the Riksdag from the Committees on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Industry and Trade. Matters for discussion included bilateral cooperation and Qatar’s role as an international conflict mediator.

In addition to the visit to the Riksdag, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson hosted a lunch which was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard and Minister for Defence Pål Jonson.
