Members and parties
The Riksdag has 349 members who are elected every four years. To be able to stand for election, you need to be entitled to vote in the parliamentary elections yourself and you must be nominated by a political party. Eight political parties are represented in the Riksdag during the 2022–2026 electoral period.
The new Riksdag will be shown on 28 September
The newly elected members of the Riksdag for the 2026–2030 electoral period will take up their posts at 11 a.m. on 28 September. This page will be updated the same day with information about the newly elected Riksdag.
