On Friday 30 October, the Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén will put forward the leader of the Centre Party, Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist, as candidate for Prime Minister.
On 26 October, the Speaker Andreas Norlén received Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist’s report in connection with her task of exploring the possibilities of forming a government that can be tolerated by the Riksdag. The Speaker has thereafter held discussions by phone with party representatives on how to proceed with the process of forming a government, as well as consulting the Deputy Speakers and informing the King.
On Friday 30 October, the Speaker will put forward Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist as candidate for Prime Minister of a Government consisting of the Centre Party, Social Democratic Party, Christian Democrats, Green Party and Liberal Party.
The proposal for Prime Minister will be presented and tabled – in other words submitted – in the Chamber for the first time on Friday 30 October, after which there will be a second tabling on Monday 2 November. The proposal will then be put to the vote in the Riksdag at 1 p.m. on 3 November.
