The Speaker spoke at annual Conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments

The Speaker Andreas Norlén took part in a conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments on 3–5 May. The Conference took place in Copenhagen.
This year, the Conference focused on issues such as parliamentary resilience in a deteriorating security policy situation. The Speaker Andreas Norlén was among the keynote speakers on the theme: Ensuring continuity and security in times of hybrid threats.
Background
The EU Speakers Conference, or Conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments as it is formally called, is a forum for exchange of experiences between EU parliaments, the European Parliament and the parliaments of the candidate countries. The cooperation aims to define the framework and the strategic objectives for interparliamentary cooperation in the EU. The Danish Parliament – the Folketing – hosted this year’s conference.
