Visit the Riksdag stand during the Järva Week

Published:

On Wednesday – Thursday, 11-12 June, the Riksdag is participating as an exhibitor during the Politicians’ Week in Järva, otherwise known as the Järva Week. Here you can meet members of the Riksdag and learn more about the work of the Riksdag.

The traces of democracy are to be found everywhere in people’s homes – for this reason part of the stand represents a home. The kitchen table is a symbol of democracy in the home. Around the kitchen table we gather to make decisions – this is where ideas are born and future reforms are brought to life.

At the stand, you can follow an item of parliamentary business from the proposal stage to when it is adopted as a law, and test your knowledge in a quiz about the work of the Riksdag. You can also play the “Timeline” game, which is about placing historical parliamentary decisions in the right year – from 1921 until today.

You will also have the opportunity to meet some of the members of the Riksdag who will talk about their assignment in the service of democracy.
