Third Deputy Speaker visits Malaysia

The Third Deputy Speaker Kerstin Lundgren (Centre Party) will visit Malaysia on 25–28 February together with a delegation of members of the Riksdag. The purpose of the visit is to discuss current issues, including democracy, green transition and innovation, and to promote a positive image of Sweden.
The delegation will hold meetings with, among others, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia Ramli bin Mohd Nor, and the Committee on International Relations and Trade, as well as the Minister in charge of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Na'im Mokhtar.
The programme also includes meetings with the Energy Commission, a foreign policy institute and a visit to the Swedish company SKF. In addition, the delegation will meet representatives of the Swedish business sector in Malaysia and will hold roundtable talks with women and young people.
In addition to Third Deputy Speaker Kerstin Lundgren (Centre Party), the Swedish delegation includes members of the Riksdag Matilda Ernkrans (Social Democratic Party), Yasmine Eriksson (Sweden Democrats) and Joar Forssell (Liberal Party), as well as Deputy Secretary-General of the Riksdag Kristina Svartz.
