NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the Riksdag host Rose-Roth Seminar

On 23–24 October, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the Riksdag will host the Assembly's Rose-Roth Seminar which is organised twice a year. The focus of the seminar is strengthening security and advancing Euro-Atlantic integration.
The current Rose-Roth Seminar is the 104th one to be held. The seminar is organised twice a year by a NATO member or partner country, on various themes. The theme of the current seminar is “Supporting partners at risk: Projecting stability, strengthening security and advancing Euro-Atlantic integration”, with a focus on Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova.
Representatives of 13 of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's member countries, 8 partner countries and the European Parliament will participate.
Time: 23 October, 9 a.m., 24 October 12 noon.
Venue: The former First Chamber
The Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén will deliver an opening address. Speakers at the seminar from Sweden are Minister for EU Affairs Jessika Roswall (Moderate Party), Minister for Defence Pål Jonsson (Moderate Party), Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström (Moderate Party), former Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt, Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, Director-General of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), and Magnus Hjort, Director-General of the Psychological Defence Agency.
Hans Wallmark (Moderate Party), Chair of the Riksdag Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, will be moderator of parts of the seminar.
The programme will also include a visit to the Guards Regiment in Kungsängen.
The seminar is open to the media.
