Three Deputy Speakers elected

The Riksdag has elected the Deputy Speakers. Kenneth G Forslund (Social Democratic Party) has been elected First Deputy Speaker. Julia Kronlid (Sweden Democrats) has been elected Second Deputy Speaker and Kerstin Lundgren (Centre Party) Third Deputy Speaker.

Kenneth G Forslund (Social Democratic Party) elected First Deputy Speaker

Kenneth G Forslund (Social Democratic Party) has been elected First Deputy Speaker. He was elected by acclamation. Acclamation means that the members of the Riksdag respond to a proposal by shouting “yes” or “no”.

Julia Kronlid (Sweden Democrats) elected Second Deputy Speaker

Two candidates were nominated for the position of Second Deputy Speaker and the election was held by secret ballot. After two rounds of elections by secret ballot, Julia Kronlid (Sweden Democrats) was elected Second Deputy Speaker.
