Next step in the formation of a government

The Speaker Andreas Norlén has today received an interim report from Ulf Kristersson (Moderate Party) on the latest negotiation rounds regarding the formation of a government. A final report on the task of exploring the possibilities of forming a government has to be submitted to the Speaker on 12 October, as previously announced.
Ulf Kristersson was given the task of exploring the possibilities of forming a government that the Riksdag can tolerate by the Speaker on 19 September. A final report on the task has to be submitted to the Speaker at a meeting at the Speaker’s office on 12 October at 11 a.m.
After the meeting on 12 October, the Speaker will provide information on the continued process.
Media accreditation and other practical information
Journalists and photographers wishing to work independently in the Riksdag premises will require media accreditation to the Riksdag. Information and an application form are available on the Riksdag website.
