The First Deputy Speaker Tobias Billström participated in a Nordic-Baltic Conference of Speakers

The First Deputy Speaker Tobias Billström participated in a Nordic-Baltic Conference of Speakers in Lillehammer, Norway on 22–23 August.

The conference is held once a year, and the Chair of the conference rotates between the Nordic and Baltic countries. Usually, the Speaker and permanent secretary of each of the national parliaments participates in the conference. From Sweden, it was the Secretary-General of the Riksdag Katrin Flossing who participated.

The conference was also attended by Norbert Lammert, President of the Bundestag of the German Parliament, and Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and they participated in a discussion about the future of Europe.

Information security was also discussed and there was also a study visit to the Center for Cyber and Information Security (CCIS) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Gjøvik.
