Rwandan Speaker visits the Riksdag

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Rwandan Parliament, Donatille Mukabalisa, paid an official visit to the Riksdag on 15–16 November and was received by the Speaker Urban Ahlin.

On Tuesday morning, the Speaker received the Speaker Mukabalisa, her delegation and members of the Riksdag for a meeting.

The Speaker also hosted a dinner with the visiting delegation. The Third Deputy Speaker Esabelle Dingizian hosted lunch talks.

During Speaker Mukabalisa's visit to the Riksdag, there were also meetings with members of the Committee on foreign Affairs, the Committee on Industry and Trade, the Committee on the Labour Market and the Committee on the Constitution. At the various meetings, discussions included issues relating to gender equality, economic development and strengthened democracy.

During her visit to Sweden, Speaker Mukabalisa also included a visit to International IDEA and met the Minister for Children, the Elderly and Gender Equality Åsa Regnér.
