The Riksdag has its own TV broadcast service for use by television companies. In the Riksdag, journalists can connect to the Internet via a wireless network or regular computer sockets.
The Riksdag has its own TV production service. The same technology is used for internal and external television broadcasts and for webcasts. Sound and pictures from meetings in the Chamber, the former first and second chambers, the Skandia Room and the press centre are sent to the Kaknäs TV Tower. At present there is capacity for the simultaneous transmission of two different audio and video streams.
All broadcasting companies can link up to this service and broadcast from the Riksdag free of charge in their own programmes.
Debates in the Chamber and public committee hearings are broadcast on the webcast service.
