Consultation with the Committee on EU Affairs open to the public prior to extra EU summit

The Committee on EU Affairs will have a public meeting on Tuesday 9 February at 9–11 a.m. At the meeting, the Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will be consulting the Committee prior to the extra EU summit on 11 February.

 

The President of the European Council has called the heads of state and government of the EU member states to the meeting to discuss economic recovery and the design of the EU's new strategy for growth, continued climate efforts after the Copenhagen Conference before Christmas and EU support to earthquake disaster relief in Haiti.
 
The Chair of the Committee Anna Kinberg Batra (Mod), the Deputy Chair Susanne Eberstein (SocDem) and the other members of the Committee invite everyone who may be interested to follow the consultation from the gallery in the Skandia Room, entrance from Mynttorget 1A (see map on the Riksdag website).
 
The meeting will also be broadcast on wide-screen TV at the Information Centre of the Riksdag, Storkyrkobrinken 7A, and via the Riksdag webcast service on the Riksdag website. Please see www.svt.se/svtforum for any possible television broadcasts.
