In 2018 the library is closed on the following days: 29 March – 2 April 30 April – 1 May 10-11 May 6 June 21 June – 12 August 2 November 24 December – 6 January The Library is situated at Storkyrkobrinken 7A in the Old Town in Stockholm. There are several ways of reaching the Library: Underground: the closest station is Gamla stan Bus: the closest bus stop is Riddarhuset (bus 3 and 59) Car: there are car parks at Slottskajen and on Riddarholmen. Accessibility There is an entrance with a ramp next to the main entrance. The door opening is approximately 84 cm wide and the door can be opened by briefly pressing a button. The main library hall on floor 3 and the reading rooms on floor 4 can be accessed by a lift. There are wheelchair-adapted toilets on every floor. The computer tables in the Library can be raised and lowered. For visitors with visual impairments, a video magnifier is available. There is also a computer with speech synthesis which reads texts on web pages and other documents. Earphones are available on loan. Returning books Books can be returned at the Library entrance which opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays. When the library is closed during the summer or Christmas and the New Year, it is not possible for you to return books at the entrances to the Riksdag, and you will not receive reminders to return books during these periods.
