Media services are available on floor 7 of the west wing. From here you can also access the Press Gallery of the Chamber. The press centre is located by the Chamber Foyer. Accredited journalists have access to the Riksdag's wireless network. The Press Foyer and Press Lounge The Press Foyer and Press Lounge are situated on floor 7 of the west wing. Information about press conferences and other events at the Riksdag, printed copies of parliamentary documents and other services for the media are available in the Press Foyer. The Press Lounge is a place where journalists can meet. From you can follow debates in the Chamber and public committee hearings via in-house broadcasts. The Press Gallery 50 seats are reserved for reporters and photographers at the southern end of the Public Gallery. The Press Gallery is accessed via the Press Foyer on floor 7. Two of the photo spots by the Public Gallery have a facility for audio recording. Offices for the media Offices and studios for press, radio and TV representatives are available in the west wing on floors 7 and 8. Photo: Melker Dahlstrand The Riksdag Press Centre The press centre is located by the Chamber Foyer on floor 5 of the west wing. The Press Centre is intended both for planned press meetings and for on-the-spot interviews with the Speaker, ministers, individual members of the Riksdag, parliamentary committees, the Committee on EU Affairs, party groups and the heads of the Riksdag Administration. Ministers, party leaders and the Speaker have priority. The press centre is equipped with the technology for broadcasts and TV production of press conferences. There is also a facility for audio and video recording. The former Chambers and the Skandia Room The former First and Second Chambers are situated on floor 5 of the east wing. Among other things, public committee hearings and seminars are held here. The Skandia Room is used for the consultations of the Committee on EU Affairs. The Room is located on floor 3 of the Neptunus block and is reached via the Mynttorget entrance. Wireless network Journalists with ongoing accreditation to the Riksdag can use the wireless network. A password applies for one day at a time and can be obtained from the Press Foyer on floor 7 or from the Information Desk in the Bank Hall on floor 2 of the west wing. Cable connections for Internet access are available in the Press Lounge and in the press centre.
