The Riksdag this week

On Wednesday Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (Moderate Party) will report back from the meeting of the European Council on 30 January. On Wednesday, the Riksdag will also be taking a position on the European Commission's proposed new rules on auditors and auditing. The Committee on Civil Affairs has examined the proposal and considers that it conflicts with the principle of subsidiarity. On Thursday there will be a question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister. On Friday there will be a current affairs debate on the position of venture capital companies in the welfare system which is financed through taxes. The Government will be consulting the Committee on EU Affairs on Friday.
