The Riksdag until the election

The 2010/11 Riksdag session will open on Tuesday 5 October. The members of the Riksdag will meet one day earlier on 4 October for a roll-call. Until the Riksdag opens, the members of the Riksdag will continue their parliamentary activities in their home localities. During this time they may submit written questions to Government ministers.

Committee on Finance opposes European Commission proposals

The European Commission wants all EU member states to be obliged to lend money to other EU countries that are unable to manage their deposit guarantee and investor compensation schemes. In the opinion of the Committee on Finance, the proposals conflict with the principle of subsidiarity.
